BRASSERIE SUISSE Overtoom 5-7 Amsterdam T: 020 - 618 19 52 www.suisse.nl	Brasserie Suisse was one of four restaurants in the TV program "Mijn tent is top", based on the Australian show "My restaurants rocks". Formerly called "Suisse", this restaurants was a favorite for many years, but the new owners have raised the quality of the interior, service, and food. The warm atmosphere is reminisicent of a roaring twenties gentlemen's club, and the food is playful variants of typical French and Dutch cuisine. Highly recommmended.

Paso Doble is always busy and not very big, so we suggest you call in advance to reserve a table. With a wide selection on the menu and a pleasant and helpful staff, you�ll want to visit it over and over again.

If you�re lucky enough to get a table in this bustling, happening spot get the shrimp in sizzling garlic sauce. If you don�t speak dutch just ask the helpful and knowledgeable staff to put together a sampler menu for you. No matter what you get�it will be unforgettable!

Surrounded by an inspiring interior, friendly people and jazzy tunes you can spend the evening wining, dining and socializing. Three nights a week you can enjoy a live performance of a deejay or jazz musicians.
ENVY Prinsengracht 381 Amsterdam Phone: (020) 344 64 07 Neighbourhood: Jordaan Closed on Monday	A restaurant in a long pitch black area with a spacious open kitchen including a wall of 26 fridges as the eye-catcher. They serve little dishes, all of them a delicacy. We would definitely recommend this hip and happening restaurant!

It's a mellow bar with a cool interior, loungy tunes, and good food. They serve many different sorts of �fingerfood� to go with the drinks, but you can order from the normal menu as well. It�s really easy going.

You can relax with a drink or enjoy the simple but very nice oriental kitchen. The place is open for lunch as well.
DE PIJP Ferdinand Bolstraat 17-19 Amsterdam Phone: (020) 670 41 61 Neighbourhood: de Pijp Open every day of the week	With formica tables and secondhand chairs the owners created a homely interior. The menu is nice and simple and affordable. After dinner you can stay and have some drinks at the bar. Most of the time the bar is very crowded, which makes it a bit noisy, but cosy!

The warm bread with garlic butter when you arrive will start the meal out on a high. The raviolis come fresh out of the oven steaming hot and crisp on top. The little place has a rumble jumble appearance, but its real Italian personnel charms its way through the evening convincingly. The walls are filled with pictures and the food is great.

What used to be a tobacco hall is now a lively melting pot of diverse individuals. It has a modern look. The food is good and they have clearly paid attention to the wine list.

The walls are filled with pictures of mothers (mothers are welcom to bring their picture!) and the restaurant serves traditional Dutch food. It�s easy going, affordable and a nice Dutch experience!
SHAHJAHAN Eerste Anjeliersdwarsstrat 18 1015 NR Amsterdam Neighborhood: Jordaan	Only holding 8 or 9 tables, you�re sure to get personal attention at this authentic Indian restaurant. The tandoori mixed meat appetizer is so tasty that you won�t want it to end. If you enjoy spicy food dare to try the chicken vindaloo�your taste buds will thank you. For a sweet treat, end the meal witha traditional chai tea.

The menu varies every month. Those who don�t want to eat, come later in the evening to enjoy the clubby atmosphere.

The restaurant has a Michelin star. Do make reservations, especially for one of the few charming terrace tables during the summer.

The restaurant is in a very old Amsterdam house close to the Red Light District. It is small and athmospheric and has a French Burgundian kitchen. A window table will give you a lovely view over the water.
DE KAS Kamerlingh Onneslaan 3 Amsterdam Phone: (020) 462 45 62 Neighbourhood: East side of Amsterdam Closed on Sunday	Stowed in a large greenhouse, this beautiful restaurant is one of our favourites. With its glass ceilings and use of many candles, this culinary greenhouse is magically peaceful. The dishes are basic, honest and absolutely delicious! (take public transport or taxi)
ALTMANN Amsteldijk 25 Amsterdam Phone: (020) 662 77 77 Neighbourhood: de Pijp Open every day of the week	An internationally oriented restaurant with dark leather benches, off-white walls and abundant candlelight. London on the Amstel! It�s a bit trendy with snazzy tunes. The restaurant has a Moroccan chef, who earned his credits at Blakes.
